Department of Human Settlements is offering a rewarding opportunity in Johannesburg for candidates to expand their careers.Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Artisan Learnership Program (Electrician), to be based at Training Academy in Johannesburg. The successful candidates will report to the ETD Officer .
The department will offer remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the Learnership. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Minimum Requirements: Appropriate Trade Test Certificate. Valid driver’s license. Be able to Coordinate and generate maintenance reports, Technical analysis knowledge, Production process knowledge and skills, Knowledge of legal compliance, verbal and written communication, computer literacy, Time Management, people’s skills, Planning and organizing skills, Team work and decision making skills.

Responsibilities: To generate technical reports. To inspect and compile reports for house surface beds and raft foundations for payment on behalf of regional project managers. To undertake selective site visits to inspect workmanship, quality of material and structural integrity of house surface beds and raft foundations. Receive inspection reports and conduct snag inspections. To gather project information relevant for inspections. Manage own performance and development including team allocated to you.
